I didn’t start out in M&A. My background is actually in social housing — for over five years, I worked closely with local authorities and government bodies to deliver safe, high-quality homes to vulnerable communities.

That experience taught me two things. First, how critical the essential trades are — plumbing, pest control, electrics, HVAC. Without them, the entire housing ecosystem collapses. Second, it taught me to value the people behind these services — the business owners, the engineers, the teams keeping things running day after day.

A few years ago, I pivoted from housing to investing. Not into startups or flashy tech — but into the kind of local service businesses that quietly underpin entire communities. Businesses built on reputation, relationships, and reliability.

I’m now focused on acquiring and growing these kinds of businesses — not to flip them, gut them, or strip them for parts. But to protect what makes them valuable and help them grow stronger. That could mean helping an owner exit completely, or staying involved post-sale to mentor the next phase of growth.
